While On the Topic

When we moved to San Francisco 3+ years ago, we found a fresh pasta
shop and got addicted right away. Upon deciding to move to Portland,
we quickly scouted out one close by and made sure it was in walking
distance of our new home. Hooray!

So last night was Green on White: homemade Pesto (I did a damn fine
job) with fresh pasta, shrimp/avo salad with white wine/grapeseed oil
(see the color!) and a nice dry Reisling for drinking.

Mmm.

all this culinary bragging, i just can't stand it. ok, i'm making moroccan country bread tonight with pork stew served over rigatoni. :)

that pesto looks beautiful. mine usually turns out too thick. i can't wait to start growing another batch of basil...

Mmm. You know, my pesto came out a tad too think, but it's just because I put in more cheese and pine nuts than I should have. I knew it going in, but I was trying to make 2 cups of basil go far!
